This seventeenth century stone farmhouse enjoys a spectacular setting in the heart of Umbria. It over looks the Spoleto Valley with views across to the city of Spoleto in the south and to Assisi in the north.
The house is situated at 800 meters in the hills above the Spoleto valley looking to the east and so enjoys sunlight throughout the day but also, during the summer months, the benefit of fresh mountain breezes. The village shop, a short walk down the hill, has fresh eggs and ricotta from the local farmers and all the basics one could need. The beautiful city of Spoleto is seven Km drive away.
The airports of Rome are one and a half hour’s drive and the local airport of Perugia, “San Francesco d’Assisi” in Sant’Egidio (with regular Ryanair flights and a wide range of Car Hire Agencies), is 30 minutes drive away. Regular Fast Eurostar train services run from Rome, with Fiumicino airport connections, and from Ancona (also with an airport) throughout the day. Avis car hire has an office in Spoleto.
The walking route ‘Cammino di San Francesco’ (Saint Francis Walk) runs from Assisi to Rome through the village of Poreta, for those who wish for a slower arrival.
